We utilize a variety of software to develop, monitor and report on the progression of construction projects so that clients are informed quickly and accurately on any events, potential problems and corrective actions.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, update, and distribute schedules for large-scale commercial construction projects including infrastructure, water and wastewater treatment facilities using project management software including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Analyze contract specifications, technical drawings, information provided by project teams and field data to determine project schedule requirements and priorities.
- Distribute project schedules and liaise with construction supervisors to evaluate and compile reports on work progress, completion dates and measurable delays.
- Revise construction schedules caused by changes in specification, contractor loss of productivity, supply delays or interruptions.
- Create Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs).
- Generate comprehensive reports supported by rigorous analyses, verification, and documentation.
- Collaborate with legal professionals to navigate clients through construction claims and mediation processes.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EXPERIENCED APPLICANTS (5 YEARS +):
- Bachelor’s degree related field required.
- Minimum five years of scheduling or project management/engineering experience required.
- Professional industry certifications including AAEC, PMI, or RICS required.
- Substantially proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and MS Word; highly experienced in project management software including Primavera P6.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to lead effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English.
- Detail-orientated with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, an ability to decipher and solve complex issues with limited information governed by deadlines.
- Willing to take ownership of projects and prioritize assignment based on client needs.
- Preferable experience advising clients in mediation and other settlement discussions.
- Preferable experience in testifying before DRB, arbitration boards, or trials.
- Extensive industry relationships and the ability to create opportunities for others.
REQUIREMENTS FOR MID-LEVEL APPLICANTS (2 TO 5 YEARS):
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two to five years of scheduling or project management/engineering experience required.
- Professional industry certifications including AAEC, PMI, or RICS preferred.
- Substantial proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and MS Word; highly experienced in project management software including Primavera P6.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to direct effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).
- Detail-orientated with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, an ability to decipher and solve complex issues with limited information governed by deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY LEVEL APPLICANTS (0 TO 2 YEARS):
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Zero to two years of scheduling or project engineering/management experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and MS Word; some knowledge or ability to learn complex project management software including Primavera P6.
- Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to take direction well in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).
- Detail-orientated and well-organized.
